CHARACTER PLOTTING

Welcome to Viva La's Character Plotting post! This is a permanent post that will be re-linked at the beginning of the month where players can workshop character concepts and plan CR or plots.

Players are encouraged to look through and comment on past and current entries made by others. While this is not required, we recommend having a frozen comment reply on your top-level to use for noting potential connections or plans.

OU CHARACTERS
OU (Original Universe) characters are apped to the game unchanged from their original source material. Original Characters (OCs) who are pulled from their respective, original setting are included in this group. OU Characters reach Esthere through the Empire’s use of the Servant’s Gate, a powerful portal that draws people from other worlds into this one. The Empire has set the gate in an enclosed room where they will immediately subdue the target, strip them of all their gear, and press them into servitude. But, the gate doesn’t always work as intended, so characters may arrive somewhere outside of the room and manage to escape before being enslaved by the Empire. Either way, the characters will come in either as established Crimson Corsairs who are just stepping into the spotlight having been found or liberated prior, or newly-found or liberated members who are joining the Crimson Corsairs. OU characters can use this post to seek potential CR or preestablished CR if they’re coming in as more experienced members.

AU CHARACTERS
AU (Alternate Universe) characters are characters from established canons (including original settings for OCs) whose backstory has been adapted to fit within the game setting. For AU characters, they may resemble their canon counterparts quite a bit, but they were born in the world of Esthere and have always lived there. AU characters are encouraged to use this post to develop who they are and what their place is in the world, which could include things like familial connections to other AU characters and achievements prior to the start of the game. AU characters will either be established members of the Crimson Corsairs who are just now stepping into the spotlight, or they can be green recruits who just joined up.

Character Name: Son Gohan
Canon: Dragon Ball Z
Character Blurb: Gohan is a member of a warrior race known as the Saiyans. They're typically known for their love for fighting and their absolutely absurd fighting potential, but Gohan doesn't like fighting despite being ridiculously strong. Instead, he has a pure heart, despises those who abuse their power over others, and is...well, a socially inept nerd (which I say with all the affection in the world).
Faction: Undecided

(IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm currently debating whether to make him AU or OU. Therefore, I will fill out both categories.)

AU Blurb: Gohan is the son and student of a reclusive martial artist, and hasn't been able to go out into the outside world. Unlike his father, Gohan is endlessly curious about the outside world, and because of this and having a general idea of how evil the Empire is, Gohan slips out to see it for himself and to join the fight.

Preestablished CR Hooks: Gohan would be a fighter, first and foremost, even if he doesn't enjoy harming others. So training partners, or strategists and tacticians would all be people he'd want to get to know. Also any scholarly types to help satisfy his curiosity.
Desired CR + Hooks: Gohan definitely needs a small group of people to eventually get close to. Romance is also on the table. I don't have anything specific in mind, just to see where things go.
IC Plans: None, but I'm open to plotting!

Be it AU or OU, Selene is gonna want to fight this man. She won't be as Saiyan about it, but she will absolutely want to fight this man.

Excellent. Whether he's AU or OU, he needs to get some training in.

Arrival: Mission log. He'd be likely to try to brute force his way to freedom, which could be interesting.

Desired CR: Same as AU, really. A group of close family/friends would go great here. Bonus points in particular for Piccolo and Krillin.
IC Plans: None, but I'm open to ideas!
