Sirius is an OC. After losing two of his friends he temporarily lost control of his magic and that surge of raw magical energy, with the help of a nameless goddess, created a magical doppelganger, Eclipse. Eclipse is born from Sirius's heartbreak and regret that he wasn't strong enough to protect anyone. Due to the anguish tied to his birth, Eclipse is very different from Sirius who is a quiet bookworm who has never felt worthy of everyone's expectations. Eclipse is driven by an obsession to become more powerful. Sirius's magic is tied to his emotions so this desire is tied to Eclipse's very soul and even he doesn't have complete control of it. He's ruthless and will do anything to achieve his goals.
Sirius and Eclipse are two sides of the same coin. They may be separate people with their own distinct personalities and motivations, but they are still connected to each other. It's difficult to truly dive into the characters without acknowledging their other half. Playing both would allow me to do that.
Sirius was forced to kill Eclipse but he wished that they could have found a way for them to coexist together. I would love to play with this possibility. Neither of them would interact with other much. Sirius feels guilty for creating Eclipse and Eclipse doesn't want to be compared to Sirius since he sees him as the weaker half. Also giving other characters the chance to interact with both Sirius and Eclipse, and both of them having to deal with the consequences of that sounds fun! Especially poor Sirius lol.
2. That's the plan! I want to redeem Eclipse after his failed attempt at being a villain by making him join the Crimson Corsairs.
